Xiangtan national high tech Industrial Development Zone Xiangtan national high tech Industrial Development Zone was established in 1992. On March 18, 2009, it was upgraded to a national high tech Zone with the approval of the State Council. The current area of jurisdiction is 46.79 square kilometers.
