Manjinglan Tourist Village

Manjinglan tourist village is located in the outskirts of Jinghong City. It is a big village with nearly 200 families. It is said that the nephew of Zhao pianling, the Dai leader, was buried here after his death. Fearing that his nephew's soul would be lonely, Zhao pianling sent a man and a woman to guard the tomb. They gave birth to their children and multiplied from generation to generation, becoming a big stockade.

Now it is a tourist village. The villagers have set up more than 20 Dai style hotels here. Some of them have performances, hotels and entertainments for domestic and foreign guests. Guests can taste Dai style dishes, listen to zanha (singer) singing and learn about Dai customs.
