Nangong Forest Park

Nangong Forest Park is located in the south of Taijiang County, Guizhou Province. It is composed of Hongyang scenic area and Nangong scenic area, with a planning area of 6128.08 hm2. The mountain elevation of Forest Park is between 680-1000 m, the highest is 1765 m, the lowest is 640 M. The north end of the park is 6km away from the county, and the south end is 44km away from the county.

Nangong provincial forest park has a forest coverage rate of 85%, which belongs to the humid monsoon climate zone in the middle subtropical zone. There is no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer. There are 674 species of plants in the park, including 413 species of medicinal plants, 261 species of ornamental plants, 178 species of wild animals, 1 species of pheasant, 28 species of mandarin duck, sparrow hawk, macaque, black bear and golden cat. The main natural and cultural landscapes in the forest park include wengmi river drifting, Hongyang ten thousand mu grassland, virgin forest, unique ethnic customs and so on.

Nangong Forest Park is well protected with a large area of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest landscape. In Hongyang scenic area, in addition to broad-leaved forest, coniferous forest landscape, there are also rolling Hongyang ten thousand mu grassland landscape. There are many ancient trees, big trees and rare protected plants in the park, which are mostly distributed near roads and villages, with high ornamental and accessibility. The forest landscape is beautiful, the seasonal color is rich, and the ecosystem is complex and diverse. The park has a high appreciation of the cultural landscape, clear and beautiful scenery River, mountain streams, snow, glaze, sea of clouds, sea of fog and other magnificent astronomical landscape. It also maintains the original Miao culture of its own language, unique production, way of life and national customs. The national customs of the Miao people are "original" and colorful.

The original ecological landscape of Hongyang 10000 mu grassland in the park has a continuous area of 50000 mu of natural grassland, with an altitude of 1200-1500 meters, an average annual temperature of 13.7 ℃, fertile soil, rich forage resources, continuous ups and downs, beautiful environment and fresh air. It is known as "South Tianshan". Zhang Xiumei, a national hero, once fought here to resist the Qing army. She is an ideal resort for leisure and tourism. There are more than 100 kinds of animals, more than 10 kinds of rare animals, more than 1000 kinds of plants and more than 100 kinds of rare species in the scenic area. The coverage rate of natural forest and other vegetation in the grassland is high, and the groundwater resources are very rich. There are 3 streams and ditches in the scenic area, with continuous running water all year round, good water quality and no pollution. It can be used for grassland sightseeing, horse racing, grass gliding, tent camping, science research and other activities.
