Pearl gate, located in the narrowest outside Hunan. The two islands are separated about 15 meters above the water. They look like doors in the distance, so they are called "Pearl doors".

It's said that they were the marriage proposals of Hongluo women disturbing the rich merchants. They threw their two proposed pearls into the lake and evolved into two exquisite small reefs. The waterway between the two islands is only more than ten meters, which has always been the main traffic road in the lake. During the period of low water, the beach in the lake is exposed, and the island borders on the West Bank of the lake. Pearl gate is not far from chenglazi, but there are two exquisite hills, just like pearls, facing the lake. The distance between them is only 10 meters, just like a natural gate.

Legend of Pearl gate in Jingpo Lake

The scenery of Pearl gate is charming. The two small reef mountains are just like the crystal dew floating on the lotus leaf. There are many pearl rich stories handed down from generation to generation. It is said that in ancient times, there was a sun's shop on zhenzhumen Island, where all passers-by stayed. One summer evening, a ragged man came to the shop and claimed that he would break through the pass to get three treasures and save some money to marry the girl he loved. Soon he made a fortune, but he refused to get married. One day, at midnight, the shopkeeper suddenly caught a clam. After splitting it, he saw a pearl shining brightly, illuminating the dark hut. The man was salivating at the sight of it. He cheated the shopkeeper, bought the Pearl cheaply, and took advantage of the moonlit night to go fishing where the shopkeeper got the Pearl. In an instant, he saw the fishing rod shaking suddenly. He pulled the fishing rod to the shore and saw a clam bigger than a rolling plate caught. It was still shining golden in the gap between the two. But when he was about to pick the beads, the big clam rolled back into the lake and dragged the fishing rod into the water. The greedy man refused to give up. He jumped into the water regardless of everything and held on to the fishing rod. As a result, he was buried in the lake.
