Yangping reservoir is located 5 kilometers northeast of Yongsheng County. It is named because the dam site is in Yangping Yi nationality township. The dam of the reservoir is 50 meters high and 168 meters long. It is equipped with a hydropower station behind the dam. The water area is 2 square kilometers.
