There is a village of primitive pottery

That village is a Dai village with more than 20 families in the valley north of Majie Township in Yuanyang. Each building is inlaid in the subtropical fruit trees. The clear river flows around the village, presenting a beautiful and charming scenery. The village still retains the whole process of the original pottery making process of the Neolithic clay strip plate construction method, which is recognized as a living fossil by archaeologists. The whole process of pottery making, including digging soil, grinding fine into powder, mixing, making mud strips, patting patterns, drying and roasting, is operated by middle-aged and old women in the village, and men are not allowed to participate. These are of great reference value for the study of pottery making technology in the primitive society.
