Beidaihe Museum

Beidaihe museum was rebuilt from the original Qin palace. Located in the east section of Lianfeng South Road, Beidaihe, close to Beidaihe Olympic Avenue Park, the museum officially opened on July 22, 2009.

Beidaihe museum is a large-scale comprehensive public welfare museum with the theme of historical relics display, integrating exhibition, scientific research, cultural services and other functions.

Introduction to Museum

In order to further prosper and develop the cultural industry, Beidaihe District has given full play to the advantages of human and natural resources, invested 120 million yuan in accordance with the concept that the government is the main organization, supplemented by enterprise investment, and joined Tangshan Asian ancient art museum to start the construction project of Beidaihe Museum on the basis of the original "Qinhuang Palace". Beidaihe museum is a public welfare cultural facility integrating exhibition, scientific research, cultural services and other functions, with the exhibition of historical relics as the main body, and the exhibition of Beidaihe history and culture, ancient Chinese ceramic art, ancient Chinese bronze art, Han Dynasty stone reliefs and rubbings.

Development history

Located on the coast of Bohai Sea, Beidaihe museum is an art museum with the main content of collecting ancient art. It is located in the prime area of Beidaihe scenic spot, a summer resort known as the "summer capital" of China. It is rebuilt on the basis of imitating the scenic spot of "Qinhuang Palace" built in the Qin and Han Dynasties. It covers an area of 12000 square meters and has a construction area of nearly 4000 square meters. Beidaihe Museum has nearly 10000 pieces of ancient and modern art from China, Japan, Korea, Central Asia, South Asia and other countries, including ceramics, bronzes, lacquer wood, jade, stone carvings and calligraphy

Beidaihe Museum and Beidaihe District Cultural Bureau jointly held four exhibitions, one is the basic Exhibition "Beidaihe history and culture exhibition" sponsored by Beidaihe District Cultural Bureau; the second is two special exhibitions held by the Museum: "ancient ceramic art exhibition" and "ancient bronze art exhibition"; the third is the introduction of special exhibition: "epic of stone"—— Han Dynasty stone relief exhibition.

There are nine exhibition halls in the museum. On the first floor, there is an exhibition hall of ancient Chinese jades, which displays the collection of ancient jades since the Neolithic age; on the second floor, there are four exhibition halls and cultural relics preservation room, including the exhibition hall of ancient Chinese stone carvings, the exhibition Hall of ancient Chinese bronze mirrors, and the exhibition hall of Qin and Han bronze carvings; on the second floor, there is a multi-function hall, which serves as the whole hall On the east side is the historical exhibition hall of Beidaihe, which mainly displays the cultural relics unearthed from the Qin Dynasty Palace site of Beidaihe, the development of modern Beidaihe summer resort, the contribution of the Public Welfare Association, and the contribution of the central conferences held in Beidaihe to our country Influenced by the historical process of the Republic of China, the life and work of great people in Beidaihe. The exhibition hall of ancient Chinese ceramics displays the development of China's long-standing ceramic art and the cultural relics of famous kilns in various periods. On the second floor, the East turret is the calligraphy and painting room, which provides leaders and visitors with a place for appreciation, exchange and creation of calligraphy and painting; on the West turret is the VIP room, which is a resting place for VIP and experts.
