Jiufeng Mountain Scenic Spot

Jiufeng Mountain is located in Dabao Township in the northwest of Pengzhou, about 97 kilometers away from Chengdu City, with an altitude of more than 3315 meters. It is the highest mountain in Pengzhou, a sacred and mysterious area, and a place shared by Taoism and Buddhism. It is composed of Jiufeng Mountain, Yinchanggou and Danjing mountain. At the top of the peak is Leiyin temple, which was built in the reign of Tianqi in the Ming Dynasty.

On sunny days, you can see the sunrise, the sea of clouds and the light of Buddha. On cloudy days, you can see the wonder of "waterfall cloud". Mainly developed the Yinchanggou Scenic Spot with concentrated landscape in the Northeast foot.

The name of the nine peaks is derived from the nine peaks. According to the annals of Pengxian County written by Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, "in the northwest of China, there are nine peaks standing on the sky, which are actually the crowns of all the mountains in Pengyi, hence the name." What's the shape of Jiufeng? Jiaqing Zhi Li said: "nine peaks, northeast baiqinglong, Zhuque, flame, Tianya, Chinese and Japanese backlight, southwest Xianren, Huanglong, Yuanwu, Baihu peaks, meandering."

Development history

The nine peaks are shrouded in clouds and mist, rising into the sky. When the ancient Shu people didn't know the relationship between the sun and the earth, they thought that the steep nine peaks blocked the way of the sun and the moon, and called the valley between the nine peaks "Menggu" (the place where the sun sleeps). Some people who study Shanhaijing say that Jiufengshan refers to "Lingshan" in dahuangxijing. Wupeng, Wuwei, Wuji, Wugu, Wugu, Wuzhen, Wuli, Wudi, Wuxie, Wuluo and other ten witches come to the world from here. All kinds of medicines grow here. When they go to the world, they should also collect some by the way to treat people's diseases. Therefore, the mountain is also known as "TIANTI", "Shenxian road" and "fairyland on earth". It is also said that this mountain is a mountain of "climbing is spirit", "climbing is God", "climbing can not die", "climbing can make wind and rain", "producing medicine that can not die".

In history, many monks and sages stayed here. Since the song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the story of Jiufeng's founder has been circulating. Jiufeng Mountain used to be awed by the officials and the people. It seemed that they sincerely went to the mountain to ask for things, but they defended the people and prayed for rain and son. The temple materials are also different. The temples in the mountains used too many iron tiles and huge wood, which became the ideal raw material for steel-making during the Great Leap Forward period.

Since 1985, the mountain has been developed into a provincial-level natural scenic spot. Religious circles are actively restoring temples, adding infinite luster to Jiufeng Mountain.

Flame peak

Among the peaks, flame peak is particularly peculiar. Among them are deep canyons, numerous waterfalls, clear springs, charming mountains and islands, colorful primeval forests, and unpredictable clouds and Buddhas; rhododendrons are in full bloom in spring, as bright as the morning glow, and they are enchanting in winter. Taoism and Buddhism vied for occupation. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it was a famous resort in Western Sichuan. Flame peak has become a synonym for Jiufeng Mountain. The Jiufeng Mountain is not the nine peaks, but the flame peak.
