Moon gorge is about 5 kilometers away from Jialing Town, Huixian County, and more than 20 miles deep. It is the terminal of Jialing River rafting. It has been the throat of Bashu and the fortress of Qinlong since ancient times. Up to now, there are about 4 kilometers of ancient plank road remains in moon gorge.

Before the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Santan religious culture was very prosperous, including Bagua temple, Guanyin temple, Nantianmen temple, Taiyang temple, etc. It is said that the Wuzheng kiln at the foot of Dadian mountain was built by Zhu Yuanzhang for his six princesses. So far, murals and relics still exist. There are many karst caves in the moon gorge, with peculiar bell and milk and uncanny craftsmanship. It not only has unique ornamental value, but also contains many popular myths and legends, showing the rich local culture and simple folk customs.

Here, there are countless natural caves and grottoes, the large one can accommodate hundreds of people, and the small one can only accommodate one or two people. There are also many ancient battlefield relics here. The famous heishuicheng site is where Zhuge Liang's troops were stationed six times in Qishan; Wu fan of Song Dynasty, Zhang Xianzhong of Ming Dynasty and Bai Lang peasant uprising army of early Ming Dynasty were stationed here; the 359 brigade of Modern General Wang Zhen was also stationed here.

The moon gorge is about 45 kilometers deep, with its unique peaks, rocks, cliffs and natural artifacts. Li Bai's poem "the road to Sichuan is difficult" in Tang Dynasty, which is a true historical portrayal of moon gorge. The moon river in the gorge, the clear water looms between the stones, torrent flying, spray beads splashing jade, stone like emerald, fish flying shallow bottom, more than 300 meters high waterfall flying down from the plum blossom cliff, thunder roaring. The Swallow Cave in the gorge is full of stalagmites and stalagmites. It has many shapes. It's a perfect work.
