Monument to revolutionary martyrs of Sichuan University

The monument to the revolutionary martyrs of Sichuan University is located in the east of Wangjiang campus of Sichuan University. The monument was built in 1985 to commemorate the teachers and students of Sichuan University who died bravely for the founding of new China.

The monument is located in a stele Pavilion. There is a couplet on the column of the pavilion.

The first couplet is: the melting pot of revolution here is turning upside down and keeping healthy

The second couplet is: our school Palace Junren carry on the past and open up a new chapter

On the back of the monument are engraved the names of more than 40 revolutionary martyrs, including Zhang peijue, Wang youmu, Yun Daiying, Tong Yongsheng, Yang Angong, Yuan Shiyao, Li Zhengen and Jiang Zhuyun, who have studied and worked in Sichuan University.
