Taichung Folk Park is located in the second section of Lushun Road, Taichung city. It is the first Folk Park in China, covering an area of 1.6 hectares. It is characterized by the traditional Minnan architecture in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and imitates the design of Suzhou garden, which has a deep ancient flavor.

It was built and opened in 1980. It is a folk park characterized by traditional Minnan architecture in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. The garden adopts the traditional Chinese architectural form, with courtyards, pavilions, small bridges, flowing water, historical textual research on each scene and object, which is of classical beauty. In addition to 16 exhibition rooms, such as Folk Museum, folk art museum and Folk Art Square, there are also theatres and teahouses to provide leisure, traditional opera and folk service activities. It is a good place for people to savor traditional Chinese folk relics and feel local feelings. The Folk Museum is a quadrangle building, which focuses on the beauty of traditional Chinese architecture, and the interior is arranged as one room The ancient main hall, bedroom, study, kitchen and so on are vividly reminiscent of our ancestors' life, which makes visitors feel as if they are walking into a time tunnel. There is a display room in the basement, displaying more than 3000 folk cultural relics. In the folk art museum, there are tea houses, and folk artists perform traditional skills such as kneading dough, weaving bamboo and making paper umbrellas, while various folk festivals are often held in the Art Square. In addition, there is a stage dedicated to traditional opera performance in the park, with occasional performances of Gezi Opera, Guangdong opera, Nanguan opera, Beiguan opera and ancient poetry. Visiting Folk Park is like a meaningful journey to the source.

There are 16 exhibition rooms to display folk cultural relics.
