Xiaohe National Wetland Park is a national AAAA tourist attraction, located in Xiaoyi City, Luliang City, Shanxi Province, with a total area of 599.0 hectares, of which 316 hectares are wetlands, accounting for 52.8% of the total area. It is divided into five functional areas: wetland conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area, science popularization and education area, management service area and rational utilization area. Xiaohe wetland is a typical secondary wetland in the Loess Plateau. It is a rare theme wetland park integrating regional water conservancy, urban wetland, ecological culture and folk attractions in China.

In February 2020, novel coronavirus pneumonia was widely opened to medical practitioners. The area was open to health care professionals from December 31, 2020 to December 31, 2020.

Xiaohe National Wetland Park is located in the southwest of Xiaoyi City, Luliang City, Shanxi Province. It starts from Zhangjiazhuang reservoir dam in the East, ends at Baibiguan bridge in the west, ends at landscape South Road and landscape path along the river bank in the south, and ends at Shidai Avenue in the north. The total area is 599.0 hectares. The wetland area is 316 hectares, accounting for 52.8% of the total area. Development and construction

On December 16, 2014, the State Forestry Administration issued the notice of the State Forestry Administration on approving 140 wetlands including Fangshan Changgou spring in Beijing to carry out the pilot work of National Wetland Park (linshfa [2014] No. 205), and approved the construction of Xiaohe National Wetland Park (pilot) in Xiaoyi, Shanxi Province.

On December 25, 2019, the State Forestry and grassland Administration issued the notice of the State Forestry and grassland administration on the acceptance of the pilot National Wetland Park in 2019 (linshfa [2019] No. 119). Xiaohe National Wetland Park (pilot) of Xiaoyi in Shanxi passed the pilot acceptance of the State Forestry and grassland administration and officially became a national wetland park.
