Longji ancient stronghold
Longji Guzhuang village is located at the southwest foot of Yuechengling mountains in northern Guangxi. It is located in the northeast of Heping Township, Longsheng Autonomous County. It is 10 kilometers away from the seat of Heping township government, 21 kilometers away from Longsheng County, and about 76 kilometers away from Guilin city. Ancient Zhuang villages include Liaojia village, Houjia village, pingduanheping village.
Human history
Longji ancient Zhuang village has a history of at least 430 years. According to the genealogy of Liao and Hou in the ancient Zhuang village and the inscriptions on the tombs of Pan's ancestors, the three ancestors all came from Qingyuan mansion in Nandan. According to the annals of Longsheng County, the Liao surname of Longji moved to his residence in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620). Guzhuang village has the most complete, oldest and largest scale wooden buildings with stilted stilts of Zhuang nationality preserved in Guangxi and even in China. Among them, five wooden buildings have a history of more than 100 years, and the oldest one has a history of 250 years, which is ancient and full of charm.

Longji ancient Zhuang village is a typical example of traditional Fengshui site selection. Next to the village, there is a ridge like a giant dragon circling down to Jinjiang. The ancient Zhuang village is located on this ridge, hence the name "Dragon Ridge". On both sides of the village, there is a huge ridge spreading down, like two armrests of a chair. The ancient stronghold of Longji is located in it, like sitting on a dragon chair. It is a rare geomantic treasure land.
Longji people have worked hard for generations and lived in harmony with the nature, forming a harmonious ecological environment from the mountain forest, village and terrace on the top of the mountain, showing the balanced layout of human and soil construction, and the orderly and coordinated distribution of forests, streams, villages and terraces at different altitudes, showing the harmonious beauty of human and nature.
The famous stone inscription "three fish head together" on the Fengyu bridge in the village has a moral of harmony and unity among Liao, Hou and pan. The deeper moral is the harmony and unity among Zhuang, Yao and Dong. The deepest moral is the embodiment of Taoist thought of "two lives, two lives, three lives, three lives, all things". It contains the most basic law of human universe, that is, harmony among heaven, earth and human beings.
Stone carving culture of Zhuang Nationality
Longji people make full use of the local rich stone to create a unique Zhuang stone culture. There are many stone carvings in the village, such as Qingshiban Road, 57 Qingshiban bridges, stone foundations of wooden buildings, Taiping Qingguan, Shikui, shizhaimen, Shimian, Shimao, Shijiu, Shiqiang, shixiuqiu, Shimiao, Sanyu, and a series of stone carvings with rich contents and various forms from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China to the present "Monument".
The stone road and stone bridge in Guzhuang village are the symbol of the diligence and wisdom of Longji people. Many stone bridges are carved with Taoist symbols such as lotus, sword, Tai Chi and eight trigrams. The most representative and precious one is the "three fish in one head" carved on the Fengyu bridge in front of the village office.
A large number of stone inscriptions from the Qing Dynasty to the modern republic of China are left in the village. The most famous one is the stele of forbidding government officials from disturbing Tongyao in Guilin in 1792. In addition, the stone statue of King Moyi, the stone embroidered ball and the gate of Shizhai are unique to Guangxi.
Tourism characteristics
The total population of Longsheng County is 172000, of which ethnic minorities account for more than 75%, including about 33000 Zhuang people. The Zhuang people in Longsheng are mainly distributed in Heping, Piaoli, Longsheng Town, Sishui and other towns along the river. The customs of Longji Zhuang village have already burst out of the mountain villages and attracted a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists. The Zhuang villages with ancient simplicity, the weathered stone bridge and the hot red pepper are obsessed by the world.
Youyou ancient stronghold
In the famous Longji terrace scenic area at home and abroad, there is a very old village inlaid, which is Longji ancient Zhuang village. Longji Zhuang village refers to 13 natural villages of Zhuang nationality, such as Ping'an, Mahai, Jinjiang, Baishi, Jinzhu and Fengmu. Among them, Ping'an Village, which is famous in the world, is an administrative village separated from the ancient Zhuang village.
Longji Zhuang village is composed of three natural villages named Liao, pan and Hou. Among them, Liao has the largest population and the largest village. The recorded history can be traced back to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. According to the records of Longsheng hall, "there is Longji tea in the east of the city, offering tribute to the officials....". During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, Longji tea, which was once regarded as "tribute tea", had to be taxed and was not allowed to be listed. Pan Tianhong, a villager of Longji at that time, petitioned for the people. In the 57th year of Qianlong reign, he submitted a petition to the court, granted Longji tea to be listed in the market, and ordered it to be carved in pingduanzhai. The ancient water tank built with Qingshiban in the 11th year of Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty is still used by the Zhuang people. The stone animals on the water tank are vivid, It is still clearly visible; the water dividing stele embedded in the canal is still the same as before, and the canal water is still used by Zhuang people for irrigation today
Solid stone bridge
Walking into Longji Zhuang village, in the prosperous tourist area, the flickering lights, romantic bars and friends of all kinds of skin color have made it full of modern flavor. But if you walk along the village path, you will find that the ancient stone slab bridge here also has its unique charm. Relevant information shows that there are nearly 300 stone bridges within 20 kilometers of Longji, and 57 in Longji village alone.
These stone slab bridges can survive for many years, which is closely related to the construction process. The excavation of stone slabs is usually carried out from the end of autumn to the beginning of the next spring. Skilled craftsmen from various villages first go to the mountains to find hard stones, and then the villagers go to mine them. Stone bridge is generally composed of two long blue stone slabs, more than five and less than one. The length of the stone slab is about 6 meters, the shortest is 2 meters, generally 3 to 4 meters.
It is said that a long time ago, the government often went into the village to capture soldiers and carry out burning, killing and looting. The people of the thirteen villages of Longji and other neighboring ethnic villages lived a very restless life. For the sake of the safety of the people, Zhuang, Yao and Han people selected highly respected and charismatic people as their representatives in their respective villages, and focused on the discussion of righteousness in Longji Zhuang village. The place of discussion was a stone bridge in the village. After a long period of deliberation, he finally decided to become a foreign brother. The representatives immediately went back to contact their respective villagers. A national uprising team against officers and soldiers was organized. After struggle, the bridge was finally named "happy bridge", and the pattern of "three fish head together" was carved on the stone slab of the bridge, symbolizing the eternal unity of Zhuang, Yao and Han nationalities.
