Lingdong water recreation summer resort, located 14 kilometers east of Lingshan County, was founded in 1958.

The dam of the reservoir is 30.6 meters high, with three slopes in the west of the dam embankment and green vegetation. The reservoir is long and narrow in east-west direction, with a horizontal straight line of 15000 meters long, the widest part of 3150 meters, and a total area of 6.67 million square meters. The reservoir has a capacity of 179 million cubic meters. It was one of the top ten reservoirs built in China at that time. It has been built into a man-made lake with beautiful scenery, which is mainly for irrigation and flood control, as well as comprehensive utilization of power generation, planting and breeding, tourism and so on. It is one of the key large reservoirs contacted by the Ministry of water resources.

Lingdong reservoir, also known as "East Lake", and Liufeng mountain are listed in Guangxi coastal tourism scenic area. The reservoir is surrounded by mountains, clear water, fishing island, small village, Liyuan, Jiaolin, gulls and egrets, which is like a mirror with jewels. Sailing from Daba to China Eastern by yacht, the waves hit the boat, full of fun. Or watch the splendor of the sunrise and the splendor of the sunset on the dam. The whole reservoir area is as if it is covered with neon clothes, the water color is dark and the waves are golden.
