Wendeng Museum

Wendeng museum was founded in December 1994, and now has 907 historical relics in its collection, including 1 grade-1 cultural relic, 1 group (2) grade-2 cultural relic, 28 grade-3 cultural relic and 107 folk cultural relic.

The museum is located at the site of Cong's ancestral hall, No. 57, Liuying street, Wendeng City. It has one organization, two brands and one team working together with Wendeng cultural relics management office. Cong's ancestral hall is a quadrangle building in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It has a single courtyard, covering an area of 1155 square meters, surrounded by residential buildings and commercial buildings.

In September 2018, Wendeng museum was approved as a national second-class Museum by China Museum Association.

It covers an area of about 1155 square meters, and the storeroom is only more than 10 square meters. Except for the grade cultural relics stored in the special counter, other cultural relics can only be stacked on the cultural relics display rack and on the ground. Except for the office space, only a hundred square meters of exhibition rooms are used to receive small mobile exhibitions.

Collection

There are 895 cultural relics in Wendeng Museum, of which 30 are classified as cultural relics.

Exhibit Yunwu shantun

In July 2008, 93 year old Wendeng calligrapher and painter Jiang Zhaoming donated one of his paintings to Wendeng museum to thank his hometown for their kindness.

The former site of "wanzihui" was built in 1933 and officially used in 1934. It covers an area of 1316 square meters and a building area of 792 square meters. It is the only representative modern building in Wendeng City. It has a large scale and complete preservation. It integrates multiple architectural styles and has a simple and beautiful shape
