Shijutang is located 4 kilometers northwest of Lingxi town (in puting township). The scenic spots are famous for their unique rocks, secluded caves, green lakes and religious culture. The climate and geographical conditions of shijutang are very superior, which is conducive to vegetation greening and the survival and reproduction of wild animals and plants.

The origin of the name

The stone gathering hall is full of big stones, competing for wonder and beauty, so the mountain is called Shiju. There is a hall at the top of the center, one is Xu Zhenjun temple, the other is Yuquan temple, so it is commonly known as Shiju hall. The scenic spot is divided into three parts: Shiju Tiancheng, Yuquan Dongtian and Taibao viewing the sun. The natural landscape includes single lane, one line sky, golden turtle piggy, nine section dragon, Jigong hat, toad rock, Hezhang rock, etc.; the cultural landscape includes Ziyun Taoist temple, Yuqing Taoist temple, Yuquan temple, Guanyin Pavilion, etc.

Geography and climate

Shijutang is located between baishikeng mountain and Yuchi mountain in puting Township, connecting Yucang mountain in the west, nanyandang mountain in the north, Yanxia Temple (Ziyun Taoist temple) in Fengchi Township in the East, and 4km away from the county seat in the south. Stone hall big stone base, stone crack in the miscellaneous trees competing out, pine Huang cross green. The center is high and flat, with Yuquan temple and Yuzhen Taoist temple, both of which sit in the north and south. The climate and geographical conditions here are very superior, which is conducive to vegetation greening and the survival and reproduction of wild animals and plants. At present, more than 20 species of protected animals have been found, such as otter, nine headed eagle, Rhododendron tetrandron and bamboo cypress.

A hundred meters away from the courtyard in front of the hall, there is a huge stone creeping up and down, which is called jiuzhelong. In front of it, there is a big lying stone with a hole in its belly, which can reach Wangcang Pavilion, corresponding to Dongfeng Yingbin Pavilion, overlooking Cangnan County and the rivers in villages. There are many strange stones on the side of the hall, either stretching or shrinking, or lying or standing, or climbing each other, or left and right. The stone is black and white, and the top is covered with white lines. It looks like running water. It has been pounding all Yuanyang stone and fetal rock for a long time. The higher the slope is, the more strange the stone is: the Hezhang rock composed of giant stones is connected in the air, and its momentum is Cui Wei; the toutian rock, which is broken by giant stones, only allows one person to stick to the wall and walk tens of meters to see a piece of sky light and cloud shadow; the Guanyin cave on the side of the rock is zigzag and transparent, because the cave is built with a pavilion, and there is a hanging tower on the side of the pavilion, so it is called Guanyin Pavilion. The courtyard is clean and tidy, and the flowers and trees are sparse. It is about 500 meters away from the stone gathering hall. There is a piece of rock on the side of the road. There is a long well under the stone. The well water is sweet and dry. There is a reservoir behind the mountain. The water in the pool is rippled, and the Bank of the pool is covered with green bamboos.

Ziyun Taoist temple

Yanxia temple is located in yanxiahou (behind the village) of Fengchi township. Its name was originally called Ziyun Taoist temple. It is 1.44 away from shijutang in the north and connected by paths. There are two lakes on the left and the right, the mitianziyun lake on the left and the wumulong reservoir on the right. On the mountain behind the temple, there are some strange stones such as Tuo boot rock and Guanhai rock. There are 18 entrances and exits on the left and right slopes. The most dangerous are "one line of sky", "three bows" and "three stoops". The path outside the gate is flanked by a deep ravine. In the ravine, there is a single round peak surrounded by peach, plum and other fruit trees. It is said that the eight immortals left the seeds of food for the banquet, which is called guoheyan. The scenery of Yanxia temple is deep and graceful, far better than that of shijutang, which is more magnificent than Yanxia temple.
