Guidegou, with a total area of 68.8 square kilometers, is located in Helan Mountain National Nature Reserve. There are natural secondary forests in the area. In recent years, it has been planted for nearly 10000 mu.

Guidegou has a unique advantage in the whole Helan Mountain system, which is characterized by rugged rocks, steep mountains, numerous dangerous peaks and magnificent momentum. All the wonderful and dangerous places in Helan Mountain are concentrated here. There are steep and straight mountains, lava formed by volcanic eruption, cascading streams, fragrant and picturesque flowers and plants, frogs singing at night, tangled pines and cypresses and jujube trees full of fruit. The national key protected endangered animals such as rock sheep, kite hawk and wild crane often appear here. The true saying goes: "Heaven wields its axe, and the world creates wonders; birds live in the sea, and come to listen to the sound of the waves at night."

There are mainly "four sceneries and one spring" in the ditch, namely the beacon tower of the ancient Great Wall, guidegou rock painting group, zhuandonggou, shayaotianyuan and tanshanshui spring. These "scenery" and "spring" form a beautiful landscape line, they give full play to the natural charm, very attractive. In addition, rich geological phenomena make it a good place for science popularization, leisure and exploration.
