Tongshan rock

About 15 kilometers away from Yiwu City, on the flat ground in the north of Yiting Town, a cliff rises from the ground. It is like a lion squatting on the ground, about 50 meters long, about 13 meters high, head up north stretch. The lion like cliff is Tongshan rock.

The lion's head is high, and there is an open lion's mouth, which is nearly 30 meters wide. It looks like a mouth and extends into it for 18 meters. As early as the Southern Song Dynasty, people used the Yakou and the front platform to build the front, middle and back three temples. Unfortunately, as time goes by, things change and scenery changes. The original magnificent landscape of Shiyan has been destroyed several times, and Tongshan rock is almost sleeping lion.

In order to meet the needs of tourism, people rebuilt the Daxiong hall and Hugong hall in yanyakou of Tongshan in the 1980s, and built the hexagonal pavilion and Tianwang hall on the cliff back. In 1996, the Jade Buddha Hall was built, and the Jade Buddha, which is 1.6 meters high and weighs more than 400 kg, was presented by Myanmar

The traditional Double Ninth Festival is the busiest season in tongshanyan. Tourists and pilgrims from a hundred Li area come in droves, and the flow of people can reach 20000 or 30000 at the most.
