Huifa ancient city

Huifa ancient city in Huinan County (Chaoyang town) 17 kilometers northeast of Huifa mountain. It is the location of Huifa department, one of the four departments of Nuzhen Hulun in Ming Dynasty.

Huifa tribe was originally a member of the najmajia tribe of sahalian wulajiang. Xingguli (xingguli), the ancestor of the tribe, was sent to wangjinu (wangjinu), conquered the neighboring tribes, and built a city to live in on Hurqi mountain on the Bank of Huifa River, which is the ancient city of Huifa. Wangjinu died, and sun baijidali "killed his uncle and seven people" and established himself as Baile. In December of the 21st year of Wanli (1593), bayindari took part in the attack on Jianzhou department led by Nurhachi, which was defeated and destroyed by Nurhachi.

The ancient city faces the Huifa River in the south, North and West, with mountains as its natural barrier, and the city wall is built with earth and stone Ramming in the section without danger. It is divided into inner city, middle city and outer city, with perimeter of 596.5m, 892.3m and 1884m respectively. Each city has two gates. Today, the city wall is 3 meters high, 12 meters wide at the base and 2-3 meters wide at the top. There is a platform in the inner city, 336 meters in circumference, 4.8 meters above the ground. There are bricks, tiles, ceramic pieces and other relics on it, which seems to be the site of the building. In recent years, five color porcelain pots, blue and white porcelain pots, white colored bowls, earrings, hat tops, bronze and iron horse pedals have been unearthed in this ancient city. Some of these cultural relics come from the Central Plains, while others have distinctive local color and ethnic blending style. Visitors can have a close-up view.

Traffic information

Railway: Tonghua has relatively perfect transportation infrastructure. The highway and railway traffic extend in all directions, forming a highway network connecting the three northeast provinces and going to sea with Jixi line (National Highway 303), Heda line (National Highway 201), Heida line (National Highway 202) and Yingfu line. Shenyang Jilin line, Meiji line and Yada line are crisscross, with direct passenger trains to Beijing, Qingdao, Shenyang, Changchun, Dalian, Ningbo and Baihe.
