Shengtang Catholic Church is a typical French Renaissance Gothic architecture, one of the four major Catholic churches in the late Qing Dynasty.
The old church is not processed and rebuilt, and the building materials are all from the coral, rock and lime on the island, which is very special.
The outside of the church seems to see the shadow of old Shanghai in the 1920s. As soon as you go in, you will feel quiet and thoughtful.
The surrounding alleys still retain the most original ecological architecture and lifestyle of Weizhou Island, so you can feel the slow life of the old Weizhou Island.
