Renyitan reservoir

Renyitan reservoir is located in the upper reaches of bazhang River, Fanlu Township, Jiayi County, Taiwan Province. It was built in 1970 and began to store water in June 1987. Its total capacity is 29.11 million cubic meters, its full water level area is 2.11 square kilometers, and its effective capacity is 25.85 million cubic meters. It is used in series with Lantan reservoir, and its large dam is extremely long.

Renyitan reservoir is located in the upper reaches of bazhang River, Fanlu Township, Jiayi County, belonging to the rock and stone storehouse of the trough type. Its catchment area is 3.66 square kilometers, dam crest length is 1535 meters, width is 9 meters, annual water supply is 52 million tons.

The reservoir was built in April 1980 and began to store water in June 1987. The source of water is from bazhang stream, which is led into the reservoir through sedimentation tank. The water intake is about 50 meters downstream of Wufeng bridge on Taisan line. A dam is set up, which is led into renyitan reservoir through 1.5 km water diversion channel. It is used in series with Lantan reservoir to supply water for people's livelihood of 4.5 million people in dajiayi area. It is the best place for people to spend their holidays in Jiayi.

Transportation: take the county bus from Jiayi railway station to Fanlu and bantianyan, get off at Qijiao, follow the pointer of renyitan and walk for 15 minutes. Self driving: from Jiayi lower interchange Road, follow County Road 159 (Beigang Road) and go straight through Jiaxiong land bridge, then connect Minzu road and go straight to Daya Road, then follow County Road 159A and turn right.
