Brief introduction of jizhongsheng wind music (Gaoluo concert)
Applicant: Laishui County, Hebei Province
Jizhong Sheng wind music is popular in Jizhong plain, that is, nearly 30 counties and cities south of Beijing, west of Tianjin, north of Cangzhou and Dingzhou. It is commonly known as "concert". It is also known as "Sheng wind music" because it mainly uses pipe to lead, Sheng, etc. In addition to Sheng and wind instruments, there are also cloud Gong, flute and percussion instruments, such as drum, cymbal, cymbal and Dangdang. Music is divided into three categories: Suite, ditty and independent percussion. The length of the divertimento is long and the structure is complex, which is the main part of "Sheng guanyue". "Sheng Guan Yue" is all over the central Hebei plain. Farmers from all over the country take the village as a unit to perform in local folk activities such as sacrifice, etiquette, funeral and so on.
Gaoluo village in Laishui County, with the ancient name of "Gaole", belongs to Baoding city. Gaoluo concert is a folk instrumental music performance fair that villagers voluntarily participate in, rehearse and perform voluntarily. Its full name is "Gaole blue flag music holy meeting", also known as "music charity meeting".
"Laishui Gaoluo music" is a kind of folk music that has been handed down for a long time. There is a rule in Gaoluo concert that "it is not allowed to add new repertoire, increase the types of musical instruments, change the way of playing, perform in strict accordance with the rules handed down by old artists, and do not lose shape". Therefore, despite a long time, Gaoluo concert still retains the legacy of "playing, playing, dancing and singing".
Before 1949, Gaoluo concert in Laishui mainly served for the sacrifice and folk funeral ceremony of Huangdi temple in Houshan, Yixian County. It also served for the folk activities such as praying for rain, greeting the God of joy, praying for blessing, praying for auspiciousness, praying for peace, cleaning the house, eliminating disasters, eliminating adversity, praying for a bumper harvest of grain, and praying for the prosperity of six animals. After 1949, it was mainly used in folk funeral ceremony and Spring Festival sacrifice ceremony, and also for self entertainment and mutual entertainment during holidays.
Laishui Gaoluo concert is centered on the "Houtu cultural circle" where Laishui and Yixian are located. It radiates to the south of Beijing and Baobei. The closer it is to the center, the more such fairs will be. According to the statistics in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, there were 47 concerts in Laishui county at that time, of which Gaoluo village was an important representative.
