Introduction to Yue Opera (Yin school)
Applicant: Fujian Fanghua Yue Opera Troupe
Yueju opera originated in Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province. In the early 20th century, it was performed by rap artists in disguise. Since then, it has gradually developed into an independent drama, popular in Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu and other places, and formed many artistic schools in the stage practice.
Yin Guifang founded the Yin School of Yue Opera in the early 1940s. At that time, the famous artists of Yue Opera gathered in Shanghai and led the way. In this fierce competition atmosphere, Yin school art emerged and matured. It effectively promoted the innovation of Yue Opera and laid a solid foundation for the transformation of Yue Opera from Huadan to Xiaosheng. The performance style of Yin school Yueju Opera is simple and elegant, lifelike and vivid, and its singing is free and easy, mellow and meaningful. Once it came out, it immediately became popular and has a long history.
In the 1950s and 1960s, the development of Yueju Opera of Yin School entered the second peak, and the performance, singing and other stage arts became more mature and perfect, which indicated that the art of Yin school had become its own system. In 1959, the art of Yin School of Yue Opera moved from Shanghai to Fujian with Fanghua Yue Opera Troupe. Since then, Yin School of Yue opera has taken root and blossomed in the land of Bamin, and has yielded fruitful results. With its unique style and lasting charm, it has attracted countless audiences in Fujian, and has a positive impact on the development and innovation of local opera in Fujian.
