In October 2019, the cliff statues of Renda were listed in the list of the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Site features

Renda cliff stone carving is the only cliff statue in ancient Tibet that integrates Tibetan, Chinese and carved statues. It is the only statue inscription that can be identified as the Tubo era in Kangqu District, 116 km away from Chaya county.
