Timaza, Baghdad
Located in serike village, Duolu Township, three kilometers East-North of Luopu County, Hetian Prefecture, Xinjiang, timaza, Bagdad, is a tomb area along the dynasties. Archaeologists have identified it as a relic of the Ming Dynasty and listed it as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.
At present, there is a mosque (built in 1349, more than 70 years ago) and dozens of mu of tombs here. It is said that a great man named Sultan shanheding bagdat was buried here (his mausoleum is located in the center of Mazar), so Mazar was named timmazar in Bagdad. He was from Bagdad, Iraq. There are some ownerless ancient tombs in the cemetery. The burial style is different from today's: the bones are mostly wrapped in felt pieces and packed in wooden troughs. The upper part of the tomb is covered with shallow soil and covered with reeds. According to the masses, cultural relics such as bows and arrows have been unearthed in the past.
According to local legend, before Yusuf Kadir Khan came to Hotan, there were tombs here, which is different from the archaeological dating, and earlier than the Ming Dynasty.
