Fanjiawo Wetland Park, located in Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, is an urban wetland park under construction. Fanjiawo is located in the South Gate of Zichuan City, near Yize general Avenue in the north, zhangbo road in the west, and Xiaofu River fanjiawo wetland in the East. With a total area of 41500 square meters, the park is constructed in two phases. At present, the first phase of the project has been completed and opened to the public free of charge, and the second phase will be completed in 2014.

The park is equipped with landscape square, parent-child paradise, fitness square, opera platform, ancient gardens and other facilities, with two major features of Liaozhai culture and wetland natural environment. On the basis of preserving the original natural appearance of Xiaofu River Wetland and shallow lake, the park integrates the square with Liaozhai cultural characteristics, Ming and Qing style buildings and public entertainment and fitness facilities, creating a wetland landscape with cultural flavor. The park is of great significance in wetland protection, restoration, water purification and climate regulation.

The construction of fanjiawo Wetland Park is closely related to the water quality of Xiaofu River Basin. In order to build the Wetland Park, the local government first built an oxidation pond in Xiaofu River to improve the self purification capacity of water body, and also built a sewage pipe network around Xiaofu River to collect industrial sewage and domestic sewage along the line and send them to the sewage treatment plant for treatment. The improved wetland environment has attracted many kinds of water birds, such as swans, ducks and so on.
