Located at the West foot of Gaoligong Mountain and the West Bank of Longchuan, Tengchong Cherry Valley is within the scope of Gaoligong Mountain Nature Reserve. There is no frost all the year round and abundant rainfall. Wild cherry blossoms are all over the valley, hence its name.

There are more than 200 kinds of rare plants in Cherry Valley. Alsophila spinulosa, a national first-class protected plant at the same time as dinosaurs, can be seen everywhere in the valley. Yunnan snub nosed monkey is one of more than 100 national protected animals.

There are four forest hot springs in Guzhong, and two have been developed, one is Fenglu pool, and the other is Yunbi spring. There are two forest hot springs deep in the dense leaves of the jungle, one is Fenglu pool, the other is Yunbi spring. The water temperature of the hot spring is 42 ℃, and the water quality is excellent.

Cherry Valley has a drop of nearly 400 meters from the gate to the bottom of the valley, forming a Typical Alpine Canyon landform with Gaoligong Mountain. The mountains are full of pink cherry blossoms, golden deciduous fir, and distinct "four seasons in a mountain".
