Dinghai ancient city

Dinghai ancient city is a thousand year old city with a long history and many historic sites, and it is also the only island cultural city in China. In the ancient city, there were some historical blocks in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as zhongdajie, Xidajie, dongdajie, chaishuinong, liufanglu, and so on. There are many ancient historic sites, which left the footprints of talented scholars and celebrities of all dynasties. Historically, it has always been a military fortress. Zhongxi Street

Dinghai's most famous old street. The growth of Dinghai, a famous historical and cultural city, is remembered in the body of the old street. The old street is not wide. There are many old houses on both sides, one hundred year old shops at a time.

Historical District of Ming and Qing Dynasties

Dinghai's West Street and middle street were commercial streets in the late Qing Dynasty, with a width of 4 or 5 meters. At that time, they were real commercial streets. The fire wall with two floors and wooden structure and the eaves gallery on the second floor were the best place to overlook the prosperous scenery of the market.

Zuyin Temple

Zuyin temple, located on Changguo road in Dinghai, is known as "the first ancient Buddhist temple in Wengzhou". It covers an area of nearly 10000 square meters. It was first built in the fifth year of Tianfu in the later Jin Dynasty, and later after several repairs, it became the largest Buddhist temple on Zhoushan Island.

Deep mansion in late Qing Dynasty

Along liufangnong, Shuyuan Nong, chaishui Nong, dongguanmiao Nong, Xidajie street and Changguo road in Dinghai, there are many peculiar former residences, such as lanli's former residence, Dong Haoyun's former residence and Liu Hongsheng's former residence. The Dougong, gate, hall, doors and windows, and caisson here are unique.

Tourism information

There are ships from Ningbo Baifeng wharf to Dinghai yadanshan wharf, and there are ordinary passenger ships and high-speed passenger ships from Shanghai to Dinghai harbor and Sanjiangkou.

Since December 25, 2009, Zhoushan sea crossing bridge has been officially opened to traffic. From then on, you can take long-distance bus to and from Zhoushan, from Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Xinchang and other places.
