Qibailong scenic spot, located in the middle reaches of Hongshui River in the Pearl River Basin, is located in Dahua Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Province, 138 km away from Nanning City, constituting the hub of the "Nanning Dahua Bama Baise" tourist line. According to the characteristics of landscape combination and comprehensive functions, it can be divided into qibailong scenic spot, Dahua Guhe scenic spot, Yantan Lake scenic spot (including the Three Gorges of Hongshui River) and qitanqixia scenic spot of Hongshui River. Qibailong National Geopark has been qualified as a national geopark since August 2009.

The word "Nong" is originally composed of "Shan" and "Nong" (pinyin: l ò ng, all kinds of dictionaries and explanations are: Zhuang language, the flat land between the mountains). Due to the popularity of computers, typing and printing are electronic, so the word "Nong" in Shannong can't be typed, so it is replaced by "Nong" (n ò ng).

Dahua Hongshui River -- qibailong scenic spot, which enjoys the reputation of "New Pearl of Western Guangxi scenery", is the most typical area of karst peak cluster deep depression development in the world, with world natural heritage level, covering an area of more than 1300 square kilometers. It is a scenic spot integrating rare karst landform at home and abroad, modern large-scale hydropower engineering landscape and ethnic customs. Experts commented that Qibainong is a precious heritage given by nature, with high scientific and aesthetic value. It is not only a base for scientific research and popular science education, but also a good place for scientific investigation, cliff climbing, sketching and ethnic tourism.

Human history

In April 1996, it was designated as a provincial-level scenic spot. In July of the same year, it won the first National Exhibition Award for scenic spots with eight characteristics of strange mountains, beautiful waters, wide lakes, secret caves, dangerous Gorges, deep valleys, bashiong and unique ethnic customs of Yao and Zhuang. After investigation, the people's Government of the autonomous region and the Ministry of construction declared the scenic spot as a national key scenic spot to the State Council. In March 2000, it participated in the first national exhibition of scenic spots The exhibition of tourism products and Crafts Fair won the excellent award.

Professor D. Ford of Canada said that the depression of lane 700 is "the steepest and deepest depression in the world", and ganfangdong is worthy of being the king of deep depression of lane 700. The lane is more than 600 meters deep, divided into eight trough shaped depressions, extending 5 kilometers to the north, known as "shiliyou gorge". 27 Yao families are distributed at the bottom of the depression, and there is no flood or drought all the year round. Looking down on the highway at an altitude of 800 meters, it is really like a paradise. People who snake along the 1400 multi-level stone steps in the rubble Bush to the bottom of the depression are like "visitors from outside".
