Bijiashan kiln was founded in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Song Dynasty. Its products are sold at home and abroad, becoming one of China's ceramic export bases, known as the "capital of Guangdong ceramics". There are many kinds of products, including daily utensils such as bowls, boxes, lamps, stoves, cups, pots, pans, beans, kettles, washes, pillows, powder boxes, and craft porcelain such as bottles, figures, toys, etc. The glaze color is mainly shadow green glaze, with green, white, yellow, sauce brown glaze, etc. the glaze is crystal clear and lustrous, like silver and jade, most of which are not open or only very fine fish roe patterns; the decorative patterns are mainly carved, and there are also carved and hollowed out.
Since 1953, Guangdong Provincial Museum and Chaozhou cultural workers have carried out many archaeological excavations on the site of song kiln in cooperation with infrastructure projects. After the loss, 11 kiln sites have been cleared, including class type dragon kiln and slope type dragon kiln. The longest No. 10 kiln is 78 meters long and 3 meters wide. Apart from the destruction of the kiln head and fire chamber, the kiln wall, kiln tail, fire wall and class partition beam are well preserved. In addition, a large number of porcelains have been unearthed, including "Magu Jinjiu", which is listed as a first-class collection, and the statue of Guanyin Buddha decorated with a moustache. The most precious one is the inscription of "Zhiping", "Xining" and the names of the craftsmen such as "Shuidong Zhongyao Jia" and "craftsman Zhouming" on the seats of several Buddha statues.
