Longtan Lake is located in Simianshan Town, Jiangjin County, Chongqing. It is a natural lake about 100 meters wide and 3000 meters long. On the left is simian mountain town with outstanding people and on the right is Huaping mountain.

Main attractions

Looking along the lake, the four peaks soar into the sky, surrounded by light smoke and white fog. It looks like four picture screens, just like seeing the unique Chinese painting of plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum and four gentlemen. It is called Huaping mountain. The boat in the lake can not only enjoy the simple training, flying and diarrhea, feel the breeze and bath, but also watch the exotic flowers and plants in the mountains. If you step on the Longtan cable bridge and take a broad view, you will have a romantic feeling of "a dragon flying in the waves, a half lake with soft green traces, a beautiful shadow in the wind, and Xiayang cage with green feelings". The local old people clearly remember that on the night of May 23, 1926, the mountain people living in Toudaohe suddenly heard an earth shaking noise and felt the ground shaking and unstable. Tens of thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil poured down from ertaiping, filled the deep ancient, built high dams, and blocked the stream water, forming the famous natural lake Longtan Lake in Simian Mountain.

Longtan Lake is an ideal place for boating and swimming because of its cool water from nine rivers and pure jade liquor from seven waterfalls. In Longtan Lake, mandarin ducks are playing in the water. They are friendly with tourists and always make people feel like returning to nature.
