It was built by King Wen of Zhou after conquering the MISHU kingdom in today's Baili town of Lingtai county. It was built for worshiping heaven and enjoying with the people. In the Tang Dynasty, it was officially named the county. The original "Lingtai" was built from north to south, and the platform was rammed with soil. They lived on the ancient cypresses of Wenwang temple, which caused a sensation in the county and was regarded as an auspicious omen. According to records, in 1928, in order to build barracks, the military and political authorities at that time uprooted all the old Taiwan, arousing public indignation. In the spring of 1932, initiated by Yang Ziheng, commander of Longdong appeasement and commander of the new Fifth Division of the central army, county magistrate Zhang Dongye recruited migrant workers in 1933 to organize the restoration of his original site. In the autumn of 1933, the Taiwan construction project was completed. It has a profound culture and is known as "the first platform of offering sacrifices to gods in China."
