Chanyang Temple

Chanyang temple is located in Shenying village, Madian Township, Lixin County, Anhui Province. It is adjacent to fubeng highway in the South and heitugou in the north. The site is a slightly high slope in the middle and low around, covering an area of about 5000 square meters. There are duck beak shape, flat chisel shape (with grooves on the surface) and conical tripod. The shape of the vessel is a pot shaped tripod with sand red pottery and blue pattern, and a thick wall jar with sand red pottery and blue pattern. According to the analysis of the collected specimens, the Neolithic culture of Chanyang temple can be divided into two stages: the early stage belongs to Dawenkou Culture, and the late stage belongs to Longshan Culture in Henan Province. Bronze arrowheads, ant nose coins, Chu coins and other cultural relics of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty were collected in the site, which shows that the site also has the cultural layer of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. It has been listed as a key cultural relics protection unit at the county level.

The main color of pottery is red pottery, while black pottery is less. Below 10 cm from the earth's surface, there is a large amount of red burnt soil, which may be the remains of pottery kilns or houses.
