Tiantai Mountain, a national key scenic spot, is located in the southwest of Qionglai City, Sichuan Province, the hometown of Wenjun. It is located in the Qionglai mountains, 110 kilometers away from Chengdu and 45 kilometers away from Qionglai. The scenic area covers an area of 192 square kilometers, and the main peak Yuxiao peak is 1812 meters above sea level. Tiantai Mountain is a rare box syncline mountain in China. The Danxia landform is rich in changes. The mountain inclines from southwest to northeast into a U-shape. The mountain also forms a three-level platform from low to high. Therefore, it is said that "Tiantai Tiantai is the platform to climb the sky".

The scenic spot has mild climate, abundant rainfall, average annual temperature of 16 ℃, forest coverage rate of 94.4%, and rich species of animals and plants. There are more than 20 kinds of rare plants protected by the state, such as Davidia involucrata, Taxus chinensis, Ginkgo biloba, and 7 kinds of rare animals protected by the state, such as giant panda, red bellied Tragopan, giant salamander. Tiantai Mountain has been included in the declaration scope of world natural heritage of giant panda habitat in Sichuan Province. "Strange mountains, strange rocks, beautiful water and secluded forest" are the characteristics of Tiantai Mountain. Tertiary platform

Nature makes Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area into a three-level platform, and each platform shows different charm. The first platform, from Shanmen district to Deng Le'an, is called Waterfall and Feihong scenic spot, with an altitude of 800 to 1200 meters. The main scenic spots are Changhong waterfall, Xiangshuitan waterfall, the first waterfall in Western Sichuan, Danxia wonder Shenfeng cave, Guanyin bridge in Ming Dynasty, etc., presenting magnificent natural scenery. Not far up the mountain gate is Changhong waterfall. Changhong waterfall is 200 meters high and 20 meters wide. It is formed by the Changhong River from the top of Wangjun river. When the weather is clear, misty water mist forms a rainbow by sunlight, so it is named Changhong waterfall. Further up, there is Xiangshuitan waterfall. Xiangshuitan waterfall is the largest waterfall in Western Sichuan. It is 60 meters high and 20 meters wide. It is formed when Jinlong river meets broken rock. The waterfall is like a runaway wild horse, galloping down, hence the name "Xiangshui". When the rain is abundant and the weather is clear, the lucky one can see dozens of long rainbows across it, which is spectacular. Go north along the Jinlong river. After waiting for Le'an, you can reach the second terrace of Tiantai Mountain. The second platform is called yatan Wengu scenic area, ranging from hele'an to zhengtiantai, with an altitude of 1200 to 1400 meters. The main scenic spots are Xichuan cliff, small mill, zuishiling, monk yamen, huashilin, huashihai, xiaojiuzhai, etc., presenting a wonderful natural scenery. When you see the archway on the main roof, you arrive at the third terrace. The third platform is Yingguang Haoyue scenic area, ranging from zhengtiantai to Yuxiao peak, with an altitude of 1400 meters to 1812 meters. If you are too lazy to walk, you can take a bus or drive directly from the foot of the mountain. There is Leiyin temple near Tiantai. "Since ancient times, most of the famous mountain monks, and the scenery belongs to the monk's family." the beautiful Tiantai Mountain scenic spot has always been a gathering place of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Leiyin temple covers an area of more than 100 mu. It was originally a Taoist temple in the Han Dynasty, and gradually became a Buddhist temple after the Tang Dynasty. The temple flourished in the Song Dynasty, and most of it was destroyed by war in the late Ming Dynasty. After several ups and downs, we can only infer the grand occasion of Buddhism from the relics. Leiyin temple is recognized as the largest and highest level temple in Tiantai Mountain scenic spot. Up at Leiyin temple is Butterfly Beach. It is said that the unique natural environment of Tiantai Mountain scenic spot breeds abundant butterfly resources, with about 300 species of butterflies in 13 families, including Papilio and silk butterflies. Butterflies are mainly distributed along the Jinlong river. Every summer, when the weather is fine, all kinds of butterflies will dance in the Butterfly Beach. It should be said that the essence and fun of summer tourism in Tiantai Mountain are in these third sites, because the main attraction of this section is mountain water, a ditch - ten of the eight species of grass. Here, the trees are lush, the river is clear, the scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh, without a trace of dust, just like a peach garden.

Cultural tourism

Tiantai Mountain has a profound historical and cultural heritage. As early as ancient times, Tiantai Mountain was the place where the ancient "Qiong" people lived and multiplied; in the enlightened period of Bashu, bieling, the king of ancient Shu, ascended to heaven to offer sacrifices; in the Han Dynasty, Taoists dug holes in Xiangshan Mountain and built altars to offer sacrifices to gods; in the Song Dynasty, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism merged, with 108 Taoist temples, Buddhist temples and official houses, forming a huge religious mountain city. So far, there are many rare historical and cultural relics in Tiantai Mountain, such as "monk yamen", "monk Street", "Leiyin Temple" and "the first Zen forest". Tiantai Mountain is also the only place where the red army fought and worked during the long march in Chengdu, and the only red tourist area in Chengdu. The Qionglai Memorial Hall of the Red Army's long march in the scenic spot is the "patriotic education base in Sichuan Province" and "patriotic education base in Chengdu City".

The management and service of Tiantai Mountain are improving day by day. It has been rated as "the first batch of civilized scenic spots" and "the top ten civilized scenic spots demonstration area" in the whole province. In 2004, it was listed as a national key scenic spot by the State Council, and passed the ISO9001 international quality management system certification and ISO14001 international environmental management system certification.
