Jiaojiang submarine sightseeing base
Jiaojiang submarine sightseeing base, located in Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, was officially opened on September 5, 2013. It is one of the five decommissioned submarines of the same kind in China.
Jiaojiang submarine sightseeing base is located in the north of Daqiao Park, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou city. It is a new Jiaojiang tourist attraction integrating military, marine, ecological, cultural and leisure. The "349" submarine in the base imitates the 633 submarine of the former Soviet Union. It is called "33 boat" in China and is R-class submarine. In the west, it is called "Romeo" class submarine. The decommissioned submarines, originally moored in Jiaozhou Bay, Qingdao, are mainly used for training and combat readiness. They were approved by the Zhejiang provincial government in 2011 by a letter to the General Equipment Department of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In 2013, they officially entered Jiaojiang, becoming a new red tourist attraction in Jiaojiang.
The 349 submarine is modeled after the 633 submarine of the former Soviet Union, so it is usually called "33 boat" in our country. It is a R-class submarine, and it is called "Romeo" class in the West. The 349, originally moored in Jiaozhou Bay, Qingdao, was mainly used for training and combat readiness. The displacement of the submarine is 1475 tons on the surface, 1830 tons underwater, 76.6 meters long, 6.7 meters wide, 5.2 meters draught, 9 meters to 270 meters underwater working depth, and 300 meters ultimate diving depth.
