Yuncheng Museum

Yuncheng Museum, located in Weifeng street, Yanhu District, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, was established in December 2013 and opened to the audience for free on July 1, 2016. Yuncheng Museum covers an area of 38.07 mu, with a construction area of 23570 square meters, including an exhibition area of 15000 square meters and a cultural relics warehouse area of 5000 square meters.

The architectural layout of Yuncheng Museum takes "the meaning of Taiji, the potential of nebula, the shape of cradle", and the architectural shape is the old tree root rooted on the Loess Plateau. With the theme of "the east of the river", the museum is composed of six historical exhibitions, namely, searching for roots in China, treasures in collection, salt spring and autumn, outstanding people in the land, Tu Mu Hua Zhang and Tiaoshan Feng Yun, and four featured exhibitions of agriculture, industry, urban construction and culture in Yuncheng. As of August 2019, Yuncheng Museum has 17691 cultural relics, including 572 precious cultural relics.

In January 2019, Yuncheng Museum launched the national defense Knowledge Q & A activity of "inheriting the red gene and gathering the strength of the strong army".

In April 2019, Yuncheng Museum launched the theme education activity of "xinghuachunyu talks about Qingming".

This catalogue contains 208 pieces of fine porcelains of song, Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties in four provinces of Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan and Hebei, and 340 photos. It makes a comparative analysis on the shape, clay, glaze color and decoration of porcelains at the kiln entrance.

East of the river: Exhibition and fine works of Yuncheng Museum

Published in December 2018, the book contains 177 cultural relics (sets) of Yuncheng Museum.

Ancient Hedong: Archaeology in progress

The book is based on the exhibition of "ancient Hedong · Archaeology in progress" held by Yuncheng Museum in June 2017, which includes the design scheme, exhibition scenes, pictures of important cultural relics, and notes of important site excavators.

Honors

In May 2019, the public service department of Yuncheng Museum won the "Shanxi Youth May 4th Award".
