Changtan Lake

Changtan lake is located in Pujiang County, Chengdu City, one kilometer away from Chaoyang lake. It is a magnificent Changtan lake with a surface area of more than 3360 Mu and a water depth of more than 30 meters. There are four main waterways, three islands and 27 bays in the lake area. There are more than 100 peaks around the lake. The blue waves on the lake are vast, and the green peaks on both sides of the lake are emerald, sparkling, and the reflection is long, forming a green corridor and elegant natural picture. There are "golden Turtle Island", "bixiawan", "wohuling", "Jinzhongshan", "Yuping", "hongyanzhai" and other scenic spots in the lake area. Each scenic spot is accompanied by a beautiful and moving legend, giving people unlimited reverie. The "lining waist rock" in the lake area is a relic of the South Silk Road. There are 2.5 km long stone terraces on the cliff. The inscription in the 23rd year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1843 A.D.) is "to repair the rugged road of a hundred years, to connect the road of tens of millions of people, to travel and trade with Dengyun Road, and to experience Hengheng with light cars and fast horses." It is said that in ancient times, passers-by suffered from waist pain. When they passed through this rock, they would grind their waist on the strange stone, and then take bamboo sticks to line the cracks in the rock. If they took elixir, they would get rid of their waist pain and fatigue. So it is called "lining waist rock". Pujiang Changtan lake water sports center is the only high-speed water sports center in Southwest China. It is more than 80 kilometers away from Chengdu and 40 minutes' drive by highway. It is adjacent to the famous Chaoyang lake. The lake has a surface area of more than 3000 mu and a water depth of more than 30 meters. There are four tributaries of the lake, 27 bays of three islands, more than 100 peaks rolling, green peaks on both sides, and long reflection, just like a natural picture.

Changtan Lake

Main attractions

The road is connected to Mingshan and Ya'an, and goes down to Xinjin and Pengshan. There are 2.5 kilometers of climbing stone ladders.

You can take the bus at Xinnanmen or Shiyang bus station, get off at Pujiang bus station, take the rural bus or taxi, you can enter the scenic spot quickly.
