Yangming book house is located in the lava flow terrace of Qixing mountain, the peak of Datun volcano group, and on the Zhongxing Road near Zhuzhu lake. The former name of Yangming book house is Zhongxing Hotel, with a total area of about 15 hectares. People can get to the Yangming book house surrounded by green hills such as Qixing, Datun and Shamao, and rivers such as Danshui and Keelung by meandering up the slope about 2 kilometers by the flower clock of Yangming garden.

Historical evolution

The Caoshan hotel under the Zhongxing hotel was transformed from the hot spring villa area under the leadership of the Japanese occupation into Chiang Kai Shek's summer resort. With the development of Yangming villa and Zhongshan tower nearby, Yangming Mountain gradually became the actual administrative decision-making center of the national government. Later, Zhongxing Hotel, the last resort in Taiwan, was built as a summer resort for meeting guests. Chiang Kai Shek moved it in 1970 After Chiang Kai Shek's death, the KMT Party History Association moved its office and party history materials to the Zhongxing Hotel, and the "Daxi archives" in charge of the confidential office of the "presidential palace" was also centralized in the underground room of the Zhongxing hotel for management. At the same time, a memorial hall was set up here, which was renamed "Yangming library"; until 1996, the office of the KMT Party History Association moved to the Zhongxing hotel In 1997, it decided to donate the buildings and management rights of Yangming bookstore to the Ministry of the interior and transfer them to the Management Office of Yangmingshan National Park. The management office completed the private land acquisition in April 1997, and the donation transfer ceremony was held on September 26 of the same year. Since then, Yangming bookstore has become a new recreational base of Yangming Park, with many visitors enjoying flowers during the flowering season.

Architectural features

Yangming library, with a total area of about 1200 square meters, is a two-story Chinese garden building. There are many corridors on the first and second floors and the backyard. The main hall on the first floor of Yangming library is decorated with traditional Chinese style, with mahogany furniture such as eight immortals table and round table and Sabina furniture.
