The anchangxian relic tower was built in 1152, the fourth year of jintiande. It is located in the east mountain of anchangxian village, nuanchangtang Town, Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. The pagoda is made of green brick, octagonal solid and close eaves, with a height of 18 meters. There are relief Buddha and lotus pedestal. There is a tablet under the tower with clear handwriting.

brief introduction

"Relic" is a transliteration of Sanskrit, meaning Buddha bone. According to Buddhist custom, the bones and teeth of Buddha are often built in the pagoda for worship, so it is called relic pagoda. Anchangxian relic tower is located in anchangxian village, warm pond town, 15 kilometers southwest of Panlong cave. It is a provincial protected cultural relic. It was first built in the Jin Dynasty and rebuilt in 1152. The body of the pagoda is built with green bricks. It is an octagonal solid dense eaves type, with a height of 18 meters. The base of the pagoda is a Xumi type, with brick carved lotus and patterns. The pagoda has seven storeys on eight sides. There are arched doors in the East, West, North and south. There are brick carved Bodhisattvas in it, with niches sitting on the lotus terrace. The other four sides each have a bodyguard, wearing cassock, foot lotus, hands in one, look peaceful. The eaves of each layer on the tower are carved brick arches, the tower body is a straight and beautiful conical body, and the top of the tower is capped by a brake seat. It is of great value in the study of ancient architecture and Buddhism.

Protection status

The tower is located on the top of the mountain. It has a long history and is seriously weathered. Now it inclines to the southeast up to 15 degrees. In 2001, the tower base was reinforced with green brick cement. In 2007, it was included in Liaoning Province "Liao tower project" maintenance project, and the maintenance has been completed.
