Sishui Pavilion

Surabaya Pavilion is located in Peixian County, Xuzhou City. Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Han Dynasty, once served as the "head of Surabaya Pavilion". Under the eaves inside the gate of sishuiting park is inscribed "Eternal Dragon enclave", which is the nickname of gupei. In addition to Liu Bang, the founder of the Han Dynasty, Peixian people will also mention another founding emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty, whose ancestral home is also Peixian. The founding emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty was from Xuzhou, and Li Yu, the empress of the Southern Tang Dynasty, was also from here. Thus, Gu Pei won the reputation of the land of dragon flying.

Historical evolution

At that time, Liu Bang could not bear the tyranny of the Qin Dynasty. With his extraordinary courage and talent, he led Fengpei's party to revolt and joined forces with Xiang Yu to eliminate the tyranny of the Qin Dynasty. After another five years of struggle between Chu and Han, the Chu army was finally annihilated in 201 BC, and a unified and powerful Han Dynasty was established, which laid the foundation for the development of the Chinese nation. The long corridor engraved with Han Dynasty Ban Gu's "Ode to the Sishui Pavilion" can let people go back to that long time, and then listen to the footsteps of history The most valuable one here is the "dafengge stele" of the Han Dynasty, which is still accompanied by Liu Bang, the great ancestor of the Han Dynasty. All the children in Peixian county can recite the song of gale, which has been popular for two thousand years: "the gale rises, the clouds are flying, the Weijia sea is returning to its hometown, and the brave men are guarding the four directions!" Although there are only three lines in the poem, it is still stirring. It is a pity that only three sentences have not been completely preserved on the stone tablet. Today, people can only see the upper part of the stone tablet and the words below. With the loss of years, they can no longer be found. It is said that the inscription was written by Cai Yong, the calligrapher of East Han University, the father of CAI Wenji, which is very precious. A song of gale has been sung for two thousand years, which conveys the grand feelings and indomitable will of ancient China.

There is a singing platform not far from the park. In 195 BC, Pei people built a high platform called "Gefeng platform" where Liu Bang sang Dafeng songs. Gefeng platform has experienced many vicissitudes and has been built and destroyed repeatedly. Today, the reconstruction area is 12600 square meters, the height of the platform is 10 meters, the layout of the front building and the back hall is well proportioned and magnificent, there are dafengge stele, Liu Bang statue and the famous ancient and modern stone carvings on both sides of the two chambers on the platform, there are "Liu Bang Shengji Exhibition" and "Han Dynasty cultural relics exhibition" on display. In the west of Peixian County, near Anguo, there is a historical legend of "three princes in five li". In more than 400 years of the Han Dynasty, nearly 100 Pei people became princes and Marquises, which made this hot land a place worthy of the name.

Now it is impossible to find out where Liu Bang, who was the head of the pavilion at that time, lived. This is the site of the ancient Sishui Pavilion. It has been handed down from generation to generation that the Sishui Pavilion is a two-story attic, elegant and chic, small and exquisite, and antique. In front of the pavilion is a pool, which is quite Jiangnan style. There are many historic sites in the park, such as "Fanjing" and "Sishui Pavilion stele". The stone tablet of the pavilion at Sishui recorded the first half of Liu Bang's life in Peixian before the uprising, which attracted Sinologists from home and abroad. According to historical records, in the Qin Dynasty, a kind of organization called "Pavilion" was set up near Peixian County, which was used to maintain local public order and deliver imperial documents. At that time, it was called Sishui Pavilion. In his prime, Liu Bang was elected by the local gentry and became a pavilion official in Sishui Pavilion. After a period of trial, he was later appointed as the pavilion leader.

Main attractions

Sishui Pavilion is a relic of Liu Bangshi, the emperor of the Han Dynasty. The Qianlong version of Peixian annals says that "the emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty was the head of the Sishui Pavilion, which is also called this pavilion.". In 1983, the county people's Government rebuilt the pavilion and erected a stele in the pavilion, still using the original text of Ban Gu. Sishui Pavilion is inscribed by the contemporary calligrapher Mr. Qigong. In 2007, the county Party committee and government invested 2.8 million yuan in the overall transformation of sishuiting Park, which has become an open park by tearing down the walls to reveal the green, making the general public deeply understand the Han culture resources of Pei County, and at the same time create a good place for leisure and entertainment.

From Peixian station in Xuzhou to sishuiting Park, you can take the No.2 bus to the west at the exit of the bus station and get off at Qicai street, which is opposite to sishuiting park. Or take a taxi, Xuzhou taxi is very cheap, the starting fee is 5 yuan / 3 km, the remaining 1.40 yuan / km, the reverse 2.60 yuan / km.
