Sutra building of FaLong Temple

Located in jinqiansi village, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, it was first built in the 11th year of Tang Dynasty (857 AD). It was once called jinqiansi. There is a saying that "there was jinqiansi first, and then Jinhua house". At present, the temple has been destroyed, and only the scripture buildings are left. The ground part is about 6.3 meters high. It is octagonal and carved with the Sutra of Zunsheng on the top of the Buddha. In 2006, the Sutra building of FaLong temple was listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

brief introduction

FaLong temple is located in jinqiansi village, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. The temple has long been destroyed, and only the Jingchuang, commonly known as the Jingchuang of Jinqian temple, remains. The plane is octagonal and the residual height is 6.30 meters. The base of the building is two-story xumizuo. The waist of xumizuo on the ground floor is tied, and each side of it is embossed with the statue of King Kong's strongman holding two hands. The statue is full of anger and vivid shape. The waist of xumizuo on the upper floor is engraved with the names of the faithful men and women who gave up their wealth to build the building. On the top is a lotus with plump petals, on which a 1.75-meter-high building body is placed, engraved with the Buddhist Sutra of Zunsheng and jianchuanji. In the record of building, there is the time of building in 857. On the body of the building, there are some components, such as Baogai, Lianzhu, Yanglian, GouLan, yaoyan and so on. The cover is octagonal with a head carved from each corner. Jialing, Binjia and Gongming birds are both made of human head, wings and tail, and are flying. Yang lotus three layers, lotus petals plump, carved fine. GouLan is carved with the whole stone, and the story is changed around the short column. On the bottom of the canopy, there are relief sculptures of four performers with different looks. The roof has been destroyed.
