Tongshan Lake Forest Park is rich in animal and plant resources, which is very rare in Henan Province. It is known as the "herbarium" of Henan Province. The forest park integrates mountain, stone, forest, water and cultural landscape. It is characterized by "majestic, strange, beautiful, lush and secluded", and has both Northern Style and Jiangnan flavor. The main landscapes of Tongshan Lake Forest Park are: loblolly pine mother forest, bird island, Spirit Island, cactus Island, Zhangliang temple, guanguitai, Baihua garden, laoyezao, Qushiling, shipofeng, Yihe village, Shuiguai Island, etc.

Tongshan Lake scenic spot is located in Biyang County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province, 20 kilometers east of Biyang County and 70 kilometers away from Zhumadian City. 411 highway passes by along the North Bank of the lake and connects with 107 National Highway 50 kilometers east. The scenic spot was approved by the provincial government as a provincial scenic spot in 1994, with a total area of 1996 square meters. Tongshan, a famous mountain in southern Henan, is located on the eastern edge of the lake. Tongshan is located at the intersection of Funiu and Tongbai mountains, where the Huai and Han rivers diverge.

Tongshan, formerly known as dafushan, was named after the famous Han Dynasty general Deng Tong who made money here. It is known as "little Wudang" for its "dangerous as Huashan Mountain and beautiful as Huangshan Mountain". The beautiful talk of "Jinding (Wudang, Hubei Province) in the Southern Dynasty and visiting Tongfeng in the north" has been handed down to this day. Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, Buddhism and Taoism have been cultivating themselves in Tongshan and promoting Buddhism, which has formed a rich religious historical and cultural connotation. "One Overpass", "two ancient temples", "three palaces", "four Tianmen", "five stone cliffs", "six caves", "seven temples", "eight landscapes", "nine strange stones", "ten famous peaks" and other scenic spots are dazzling and beautiful. On the mountain, there are clouds and cliffs; at the foot of the mountain, there are deep caves and valleys, dense forests and grass; on the mountains, there are grotesque rocks, which are marvelous. Mountain springs, waterfalls, red leaves, strange rocks, rivers and lakes, temples, and the mutual reflection of each other, can be described as a fairyland on earth. The traditional temple fair on June 15 of the lunar calendar left behind in history came from western Anhui, Northern Hubei, Southern Henan and other places. There were hundreds of thousands of pilgrims, and the material Trade Fair was unprecedented.

Tongshan is a provincial scenic spot. The main peak is 632 meters above sea level, and the climbing Road is steep. There are more than 1400 stone steps along the way, which are covered by green trees, giving the climbers interest.
