Wu Guanzhong Art Museum
Wu Guanzhong art museum is located in Taodu Road, Yixing City, close to Yixing station of Nanjing Hangzhou Intercity High Speed Railway. The plaque of "Wu Guanzhong Art Museum" and other buildings are inscribed by Wu Guanzhong himself. As the only art museum that Wu Guanzhong agreed to build before his death, the total planning land of the art museum is 123.3 mu, with a total planning construction area of 12096 square meters. It is invested 100 million yuan by Jiangsu Donglai cultural industry group. The architectural layout and architectural style of the art museum are traditional garden courtyard style, which is composed of seven Jiangnan antique buildings. The facade of the building adopts the typical white wall and black tile style of Jiangnan Water Town. The architectural space scale is pleasant, and the style is simple and elegant. Beautiful scenery and beautiful natural environment.
Building and opening up
August 29, 2012 is the 93rd anniversary of the birth of Mr. Wu Guanzhong. On that day, Wu Guanzhong art museum was opened in his hometown Yixing. The museum has a total collection of 110 paintings and calligraphy by Mr. Wu Guanzhong, which is open to the public free of charge.
Profile
Wu Guanzhong (1919 ~ June 25, 2010), born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, is a famous contemporary painter, oil painter and art educator. In 1942, he graduated from the national Hangzhou art college and taught in the Department of architecture of national Chongqing University. In 1946, he was admitted to the Ministry of education to study abroad at public expense. In 1947, he went to the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris and returned to China in the autumn of 1950. He successively taught in the Central Academy of fine arts, Tsinghua University, Beijing Academy of Arts and the Central Academy of Arts and crafts. At 23:57 on June 25, 2010, Mr. Wu Guanzhong died of invalid medical treatment in Beijing hospital at the age of 91. As a thoughtful artist, he is diligent in writing, unique in argument, and vivid and fluent in writing. Among them, the views of abstract beauty, formal beauty, form determining content, life and art, such as the constant string of kites, have caused controversy in the art circle.

Famous at home and abroad
Mr. Wu Guanzhong devoted all his life to the exploration of the nationalization of oil painting and the modernization of Chinese painting. His solo exhibitions were held in more than 10 major cities in China, four museums including Singapore National Museum, Detroit in the United States, British Museum, senucci Museum in Paris, Xiwu Gallery in Japan, etc. At 23:57 on June 25, 2010, Wu Guanzhong died in Beijing hospital at the age of 91.
