Longzi Lake scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot. National ecological demonstration zone. Longzi Lake scenic spot is located between Caoshan and Xuehua mountain in the eastern suburb of Bengbu City, presenting the unique scenery of two mountains and one lake.

Longzi Lake scenic spot is connected by green mountains and clear water. The lake bank is zigzag and changeable. The water surface is deep and open, and the cliffs and rocks are exposed. It has both pleasant natural scenery and charming human landscape. It is surrounded by urban traffic trunk roads and supported by modern cities. In the scenic spot, there are provincial and municipal cultural relics protection units, Ancient Ginkgo (Tang Dynasty), stone house (Tang Dynasty) and Qiyan Temple relics Site (Ming Dynasty), Linglong tower site (Eastern Han Dynasty), etc. In recent years, the construction of scenic spots has developed step by step and has its own characteristics.

Introduction to scenic spots

According to the geographical location, landform and landscape characteristics, Longzi Lake scenic spot is divided into four major scenic spots: North Lake scenic spot, South Lake scenic spot, Xilu mountain scenic spot and AWI mountain scenic spot. Longzi Lake is surrounded on three sides by mountains and rivers.

On the East Bank of the lake, there are Caoshan and Caozi mountains, rolling like dragons, also known as "Shuanglongshan"; in the south, there are nine ditches, big and small, which are the birthplace of Longhu; in the west, there are Xuehua mountain and Meihua Mountain, which are famous for their lush vegetation and green mountains and waters.

The martyrs' cemetery and Tanghe tomb in the scenic spot have become patriotic education bases. Other landscapes such as Huaihe River style park and water park are also colorful and have their own characteristics. In 1998, Longzi Lake scenic spot was named provincial scenic spot by Anhui provincial government. In 2002, Longzi Lake scenic spot was approved as a national ecological demonstration area by the State Environmental Protection Administration.

Relying on natural landscape and human landscape, the scenic spot is a national 4A scenic spot with comprehensive recreational function. The total planning area is 51.4 square kilometers. Longzi River, a tributary of Huaihe River, has a wide water surface. It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of Ming Dynasty, used to sail a boat here when he was young, and the boat pole fell into the water and turned into a dragon, so it is called Longhu.

Cao mountain in the east of lake is also called Shuanglong mountain. It is said that Cao Cao once stationed troops here. At the southern foot of Caoshan, there is Tang He's tomb. There are thousands of years old ginkgo trees, qidang temple, and endless charm of human landscape, such as Yuqu garden, Huaihe River style garden, water park, Longhu resort, Longhu villa, etc.

In the 1960s, the whole people planted trees voluntarily, and the barren mountains were afforested. In 1973, Shuanglong Bridge, pearl bridge and Huanhu road were built successively. It was established as a scenic spot in 1975 and officially developed in 1977. The water color of the scenic spot is excellent, covering an area of 353 hectares. Bengbu City has listed the scenic spot as a key tourism development zone during the Ninth Five Year Plan period. On the basis of the original water park, martyrs' cemetery, fishing center, Huaihe River style park and other tourism facilities, as well as Longhu resort, worker's sanatorium and other service and reception facilities, it will continue to build aquarium, strange stone garden, botanical garden, Huaihe River Basin famous landscape miniature garden and "Longhu eight sceneries".

Within a radius of 20 kilometers centered on Longzi Lake Scenic Spot: to the East, there are the mausoleum and imperial city of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of Ming Dynasty; to the north, there are ancient battlefields of Chu and Han Dynasties, with giant sculptures -- farewell my concubine, stirring solemn and stirring; to the West, there are a large number of scenic spots and historic sites, such as Yu palace, Bairu spring, kahedong, for tourists to enjoy and receive patriotic education.
