Hefei Mosque

Hefei mosque is located opposite Xiaoyaojin Park, with Huaihe Road Pedestrian Street on its back. Built in the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty, the temple, also known as the worship temple, was damaged. It was expanded after its return to China in 1981. It has complete facilities, considerable scale, generous structure and beautiful appearance. The total construction area of the temple is 1500 square meters, with a two-story building and a main hall of 160 square meters. The architectural form is Arabic. There are 1 imam, 2 Manla, 10 Xuedong in the temple, and 30 volumes of Arabic scriptures. At present, there are 3000 religious people with a population of more than 10000, all of whom are Hui people.

Since its opening in 1982, the mosque has received 5000 visitors and worshippers every month. It has become an important occasion for Hefei Muslims to conduct religious and cultural exchanges with China and the world, and has established deep friendship and contacts with many foreign religious circles.

At present, Imam Xu Zhihai is 67 years old. He has a rich knowledge and is proficient in Arabic. He has cultivated hundreds of students who are still working tirelessly for the religious cause. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of Anhui Provincial People's Congress, a member of the Standing Committee of Hefei Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and Secretary General of the Provincial Association for Iraq.

Initial construction

After the Yuan Dynasty, there were more and more believers in Islam, and the wind of building temples became more and more popular. Hefei mosque was built in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, also known as the mosque.

Renovation and reconstruction

It was once damaged. After returning to China in 1981, it was expanded with supporting facilities, considerable scale, elegant structure and beautiful appearance.
