Gao Chun and Xuan

Gaochunjixuan is the zuotingcheng residence in Tongcheng, located in the downtown area of Tongcheng, west of Confucian temple and east of Gongyuan road. It is a typical ancient residential building in Tongcheng, which is divided into "Xuan" and "Lou". Tongcheng School exhibition hall is located here.

The main gate of Gaochun and Xuan faces west, and the main building faces south. There are courtyards in front, middle and back. In the meantime, it is the zoumatong building style of quadrangles in two districts. The Southern District has two rooms and five bays, facing south from north, two floors up and down, a compound corridor and a patio in the middle. The buildings in the northern district are composed of two parts: the building and the pavilion, facing south from north, connecting the East and the West.

The building is 7.4 meters high, with five rooms for forward and backward, parallel construction, and a patio in the middle. The first floor is 3.7 meters wide and 5.7 meters deep, with an area of 172.5 square meters. The second floor is 3.7 meters wide and 6.7 meters deep, with an area of 191.25 square meters. The front, middle and back porches are 1.6m wide. The cloisters on the East and west sides of the patio are 2.5 meters wide, with wooden stairs on the east side leading to the second floor. Both the front and back floors are wooden buildings with the same bay area. The front, middle and back corridors on the second floor are 1.0 meters wide, surrounded by wooden railings and 0.95 meters high. A bottle shaped wooden column is installed between the railings.

Xuan only entered. Located on the west side of the building, it is connected with the back of the building. 1、 The second floor has four rooms, each of which is 3 meters wide and 5.8 meters deep. There are corridors in the East, West and North. There are side doors on the east side of the upstairs and downstairs, which are connected with the residential building. In the south, the wall of Linghua courtyard is built, and the moon gate in bottle shape is set. A stone plaque was set on the door, which read "Gaochun and Xuan". On the west side of the courtyard, there is a pavilion style staircase connected with the floor. The ladder tower is half hexahedral, commonly known as Guanyin Pavilion, which breaks the symmetrical pattern of traditional architecture and has dynamic aesthetic feeling. There are flower beds, osmanthus trees and Taihu stones in the hospital. The whole building is exquisite, exquisite and elegant.
