Zhou Bai and Tang Huai are both representatives of the ancient trees in Jinci temple. One is Zhou Bai and Tang Huai. The Zhou cypress is a cypress tree planted in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the Tang locust is a locust tree planted in the Tang Dynasty, which is still lush and luxuriant. Zhou Bai is located in the north of Notre Dame hall. There were two ancient cypresses named Qi Nian, but now there is only one left. Zhoubai is more than 2800 years old. It needs several people to encircle it. In the eyes of local people, this ancient cypress is a symbol of immortality. Located in front of the water mirror platform, although it is not the oldest of the ancient pagodas in Jinci, it is the most prosperous one. Every spring and summer, the trees are full of shade.

History Introduction

Jinci temple was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty in memory of Shu Yu, brother of King Cheng, the second son of King Wu of Zhou.

It is a very beautiful ancient garden. It is known as the "little Jiangnan" in Shanxi Province. It is a rare large ancestral hall style classical garden in China and abroad. In particular, the Notre Dame hall, maiden statue, fish marsh beam, and old spring are the essence of Jinci scenic spot. The statues of Zhou Bai, Nan Laoquan and Song Dynasty maid in the temple are known as the "three wonders of Jin Temple", which have high historical, scientific and artistic value. Jinci is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a bright pearl of Chinese culture.
