Qianlong Palace

Qianlong palace is an imperial cultural area with the deeds of Emperor Taizong, Emperor Zhenzong and Emperor qinzong in Kaifeng. It is located on the North Bank of Mingjing lake.

Introduction to scenic spots

"Qianlong palace was formerly known as SHETANG. When Shouwang (later Zhenzong) was the official of Kaifeng, his father Taizong ordered to build SHETANG in the east of Kaifeng Prefecture as the place for Shouwang to practice archery. Later, when Shouwang Zhao Heng became emperor, he visited the shooting Hall of Kaifeng. Later, song Renzong (the son of Zhenzong) built the Qianlong palace, where Zhenzong worked and lived when he was the official of Kaifeng. This historical fact is recorded in volume 189 of xuzizhitongjianchangbian by Li Tao of Song Dynasty.
