Wanzhou Xiyou cave, a national AAA scenic spot, is located in Yanjing community, Xintian Town, Wanzhou District, about 28 kilometers away from Wanzhou city.

Overview of scenic spots

Wanzhou Xiyou Cave Scenic Area is surrounded by mountains, small bridges and flowing water. Now there are ordinary hotels, conference rooms, boating, Yanjinggou fossil picture Museum, which integrates landscape appreciation, cultural entertainment and popular science. The entrance to the cave is set off by ancient trees. The cave is tens of kilometers deep, including big beach, small beach, deep beach, dangerous beach, beach with beach; big hole, small hole, strange hole, cave with cave; underground river gushing in the cave; stalagmites, stone curtains, stone terraces in various forms. The landscape of the cave is as follows: Crocodile playing in the water, lotus hanging upside down, dragons crossing the river, nine sky waterfall, ten thousand volume library, water curtain cave, Galaxy palace, etc. Twelve beaches of shrimp and fish are sparkling. The most spectacular is shiyitan, which is shaped like a palace. The entrance of the hall is guarded by a turtle. The top of the hall is like a Star Tower on Tianjie street. The stone bridge on the ground is undercurrent. The terraced fields on the side of the hall are colorful pools and lotus waterfall. In the center, a huge stalactite stands against the sky. The column is about 30 meters high and 50 cm in diameter. Known as "the first pillar of China", "a pillar of heaven and earth", "Chinese dragon pillar".

Xiyoudong scenic spot is a class a scenic spot in Chongqing. In September 2014, it was promoted to AAA scenic spot. It is located in Yanjing community, Xintian Town, Wanzhou District, about 28 km away from Wanzhou city.

Transportation guide

1. On the fifth bridge, Wanzhong expressway, Yanjing exit, turn right at the intersection of the expressway for about 200 meters, and then turn right down to Yanjing community Renmin bridge to reach xiyoudong parking lot. The whole journey from Wuqiao to xiyoudong parking lot is about 23 km.

2. Take the minibus from Wuqiao to Yanjing (Gaojia) at Wuqiao south station. The single side fare is about 13 yuan and the time is about 50 minutes.

3. Departure time of South Station: 6:00; 7:00; 9:00; 11:00; 12:00; 13:30; 17:00;

4. The time for Xiyou cave to return to Wuqiao: 7:00; 8:00; 9:00; 11:00; 12:00; 13:30; 14:00;

Free activities

Since the end of the new coronavirus epidemic in 2020, Xiyou cave in Wanzhou has implemented a free admission policy for medical workers across the country.
