Wusutu forest tourism and entertainment development zone is located in the middle of Beida Qingshan mountain in Hohhot City, starting from Halaqin Valley in the East and reaching Dongpeng village in the west, covering an area of 60000 mu. Historical development

Wusutu forest tourism development zone was established on the basis of Wusutu National Forest Park in April 2000 by the people's Government of Hohhot City, with forest tourism as the leading industry. In August 2001, with the approval of the people's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, wusutulin tourism and entertainment development zone was upgraded to an autonomous region level development zone.

Wusutu tourism center, which is developed in the first phase, is 9 kilometers away from the city center, covering a total area of 4000 hectares. The predecessor of Wusutu tourism and entertainment development zone is Wusutu Experimental Forest Farm, guluban forest farm and Daqingshan forest farm. In 1992, Wusutu tourism and entertainment development zone was established with the approval of the former Ministry of forestry.

For a long time, the leaders of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Hohhot municipal Party committee and government have given great concern and support to the construction and development of forest parks. Ground has been broken for the Usutu recreation center and the construction of the Usutu wildlife park is under preparation.
